About the San Diego Polo Club

The San Diego Club has one of the longest playing seasons in the country. From May through October, polo matches are presented to the public every Sunday, beginning at 1:30 pm.

The matches feature some of the world’s finest players and horses in the sport of polo. Pre-game events including picnics, tailgating, polo demonstrations, children’s activities, and complete food and beverage service, round off the day's fun. The arena school program operates year ‘round with all levels of polo instruction from beginner to expert.

The San Diego Polo Club's summer season consists of regular practices Tuesday through Thursday, and tournament play Friday through Sunday. chris maloneyWe host prestigious United States Polo Association (U.S.P.A.) competitions such as the Rossmore Cup throughout the summer season. Varying levels of polo are offered throughout the season including a special “Margarita League” in the Spring and “Founders” play in the Fall.

The San Diego Polo Club, originally established in 1986 as the Rancho Santa Fe Polo Club, is now comprised of thirty-five founding members, offering five world-class class polo fields on 60 acres of land. The Club includes an exercise track, riding trails, a clubhouse, a polo training school, and an outdoor lighted arena.
